Mixed feeding?

We went to the doctor this morning for DT's MMR shot. Our pedia was a bit concerned that DT's weight gain was not much since our last visit (only 200 grams). She suggested that on top of my breastmilk, we supplement with about 3 (sippy) cups of formula a day for him to gain some weight. Although she said, it could be that he's quite an active toddler, hence very little weight gain or he's not getting enough milk.

I didn't say no to her but I didn't say yes. I've been wanting to mix feed since he's past one already, plus my mom and I are going to Bangkok (this Sept pa naman!). BUT at the same time I am not ready to give DT formula. DH is also against giving formula yet. (He was also trying to convince me to bring DT to Bangkok. Hahaha.) So for now, we will just increase his solid food intake and see if he gains weight.

Toby hasnt been gaining much weight since he turned one... until now, its been 2 kilos i think, anyway, it has gotten me worried so i decided to give him milk supplement when he turned one... we breastfed until he was 22 months...

i guess it has something to do with genes too, don't you think? my husband's always been skinny. but we've been feeding him more solids (i know that he gets enough milk from me bec my supply is good). and i think he's gotten a little heavier. hope this works out so we won't have to supplement with formula. :)
